Donna Shope began her career in healthcare as a nurse soon after high school, “I never wanted to be anything else”, she says. Over the course of her years in nursing, she has served in a wide range of roles, including ER, Charge positions, Home Health, & as a CNA Instructor.
Several years ago, the field of Health Information Technology caught her interest & she pursued obtaining her CHTS-CP certification, a decision that eventually brought her to MyHealth as an Account Relationship Manager. This past year she also added the role of Health Home Interface & Training Manager, working with the numerous Behavioral Health Facilities across the state. She reports she thoroughly enjoys her roles at MyHealth because of the wide variety of people she interacts with on a daily basis either via training, or as they work through the varied twists & turns of data integrations.
With 3 adult children, 6 grandchildren, a parrot, & a bulldog, her home life is seldom quiet. “I really spend most of my time away from work running around barefoot, & answering the question “why” for the eleventy-bazillionth time in my life. “
