Report: Reducing Medicare Spending Through Electronic Information Exchange

A 2016 report from researchers at Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and Harvard University finds that Health Information Exchanges (like MyHealth) reduced costs for Medicare beneficiaries by an average of $139 a year from 2003-2009. Translated nationally, that could result in $8.7 billion in savings annually if HIE’s were operating in all markets. It would also result in better, more coordinated care!
