Ann Paul was appointed Chief Strategy Officer of St. John Health System in January, 2016. She joined St. John as Vice President in June of 2013 leading various population health management initiatives including development of the first Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organization in Oklahoma. In January 2015, she was appointed Vice President, Strategy and Business Development and also became responsible for virtual care initiatives, community health advocacy, and credentialing. Ann has 30 years’ experience in management and administration in the healthcare industry as a market leader, primarily with national health insurers. She graduated from Oral Roberts University, and holds a Master of Public Health degree and Doctor of Public Health degree from University of Oklahoma Hudson College of Public Health. Her doctoral research entitled, "A Qualitative Study on Physician Attitudes and Beliefs About Electronic Health Records," was completed in December 2018. Dr. Paul teaches courses within the Health Administration and Policy department at OUHSC. She has also been active over the years with various government and healthcare organizations. She is Chair of the Tulsa City County Board of Health, past chair of Pathways to Health Community Foundation, and past president of the Oklahoma Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association (2002-2003). In 2019, Dr. Paul was the 61st recipient of the Frederick C. Morgan Achievement Award, which honors career-long contributions to HFMA and to the healthcare finance profession. Dr. Paul is married and has twin sons who are medical doctors beginning their careers in healthcare.
