David Haws was named Chief Strategy Officer for Ascension St. John Health System in 2022. With over 12 years of healthcare experience, David previously served as the Chief Strategy Officer for Tenet Healthcare (Worcester, Massachusetts), the System Director of Planning and Market Analytics for Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, VA), and the Manager of Strategic Services and Business Development for Tampa General Hospital (Tampa, FL). David also spent several years as a consultant specializing in hospital management and strategic planning for rural healthcare organizations. David holds master's degrees in health administration and business administration, both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Southern Virginia University.
