Valerie R. Gallo-Pompa comes to MyHealth with very broad professional and educational experience that consists of project management, healthcare, insurance, legal, and technology. She has worked for large health plans, hospitals, providers, and state agencies. To keep projects on track, she can call on the full spectrum of project management methodologies to projects such as Agile, Waterfall / Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC).

Prior to arriving at MyHealth, Valerie worked for large organizations such as Farmers Insurance Group in California as well as Accenture, ACS and Capgemini in Texas. Valerie consulted in the Senior Project Manager role, where she managed large-scale software implementations for large healthcare plans and hospitals, ensured projects were delivered on time, within budget and scope with the desired quality, developed and enhanced relationships with key client stakeholders.

Valerie also served as Senior Project Manager / Project Lead for BlueCross BlueShield of Texas where she managed teams for the implementation of the Medicaid Advantage Care Delivery / Care Management operational and technology solutions. Valerie also has an extensive Medicaid and project management background working at Accenture and ACS on Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership projects.

Valerie worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the ER at Tulsa Regional Hospital while earning her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice / Paralegal, minor in Psychology from Northeastern State University, Tulsa, OK. Valerie earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix - School of Business, Pasadena CA while working for Farmers Insurance Group legal department in Los Angeles, CA. Valerie studied the 12 core knowledge areas of Project Management at Boston University for a certificate in Project Management. She is an active member of the Project Management Institute – Tulsa Chapter and pursues Project Management continuing education.

Valerie enjoys spending time with her husband outdoors, scrapbooking and painting. She is also a competitive runner, and participates in 5Ks, 10Ks and half marathons throughout the US that benefit several charities. As a member of the Half Fanatics, she competes in over 40 or more races a year.
