Job Overview

The Director of Strategic Growth and Market Development is accountable for expanding MyHealth’s revenue, reach, participation, strategic relationships, and client value across Oklahoma. The role leads the market-facing lifecycle from opportunity development through client success, retention, and expansion, while building scalable partnerships that allow MyHealth to reach providers and communities through trusted statewide channels rather than relying primarily on one-to-one sales.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Build and execute MyHealth’s growth, revenue, strategic partnerships, and client success strategy in collaboration with MyHealth CEO and senior leadership team, establishing priorities, targets, and measures of success that drive sustainable growth.
  • Build relationships with Rural Health Transformation Program Fund Use Category and initiative owners and other statewide partners so MyHealth capabilities can appropriately support broader healthcare initiatives.
  • Develop scalable channels through associations, health systems, payers, Medicaid, public health, community organizations, EHR vendors, networks, and other trusted intermediaries.
  • Lead qualified opportunities from relationship development and needs assessment through solution development, proposal, negotiation, approval, and disciplined handoff to implementation.
  • Own sales pipeline discipline, opportunity qualification, revenue forecasting, relationship strategy, and use of Salesforce and other approved enterprise tools.
  • Lead Client Services as a client-success function focused on adoption, value realization, retention, satisfaction, and expansion after the sale.
  • Lead Marketing so positioning, campaigns, events, communications, education, and market engagement directly support growth priorities and client value.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with strategically important clients and partners and ensure issues are surfaced and coordinated to resolution.
  • Bring market intelligence, client needs, competitor information, and adoption barriers into enterprise strategy and product discussions.
  • Ensure material external commitments are clinically, technically, financially, operationally, and compliance-validated before they are finalized.

Role Attributes:

  • Lead through credibility, relationships, healthcare-business understanding, disciplined follow-through, and collaboration with subject-matter experts.
  • Pursue growth that is mission-aligned, financially sustainable, scalable, and realistic for MyHealth to deliver.
  • Treat “sales after the sale” as a core responsibility: adoption, value, retention, advocacy, and responsible expansion.
  • Do not solve a sales challenge by promising unvalidated functionality, timelines, pricing exceptions, regulatory positions, or delivery commitments.
  • Build a coordinated market-facing culture across Business Development, Client Services, Marketing, and Community/Market Engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare business development, strategic partnerships, client success, sales, market development, or related leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success developing complex B2B, public-sector, payer/provider, or multi-stakeholder relationships and converting them into sustainable value or revenue.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including providers, health systems, payers, Medicaid, public health, government, community organizations, associations, and healthcare technology.
  • Experience leading client-facing and marketing teams and using CRM/pipeline disciplines to manage growth.
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, presentation, relationship-management, and commercial judgment.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, healthcare, marketing, public administration, or a related field preferred.

Measures of Success:

  • Achieve agreed upon annual new and expanded revenue targets and strategic participation goals.
  • Qualified pipeline coverage, opportunity progression, and forecast accuracy meet agreed standards.
  • Increasing percentage of growth is generated through scalable strategic partnerships and channels rather than one-to-one prospecting alone.
  • MyHealth is appropriately incorporated into RHTP and other statewide initiatives where its capabilities advance partner objectives.
  • Client retention, renewal, satisfaction, Net Promoter Score, product adoption, and utilization meet or exceed annual targets.
  • Existing relationships expand through additional products, services, programs, populations, or use cases where value is demonstrated.
  • Marketing activity produces measurable awareness, engagement, qualified opportunities, and client participation aligned with strategy.
  • No material external commitment is made without appropriate clinical, technical, compliance, financial, and delivery validation.
  • Peer leaders report high confidence in the quality of opportunities, handoffs, relationship management, and commitments made by the growth function.
